ABOUT NOMAE

Built by women who needed a clinic like this themselves

_____

NOMAE was not built by consultants observing women's health from the outside. It was built by women who knew what it felt like to be dismissed by it — and decided to make something different.

OUR FOUNDER

She built the clinic she wished had existed.

NOMAE began as a deeply personal project. For years, Tine met women - including herself - who were doing everything right and still feeling that something in their body had quietly shifted. Symptoms were treated separately. Advice often contradicted itself. And too many women were left without clear answers. She built NOMAE because she couldn't find the kind of care she was looking for herself — care that took women's biology seriously, looked at the full picture, and stayed with the same woman over time.Drawing from advanced diagnostics, hormonal medicine, lifestyle science, and somatic practice, NOMAE brings these pieces together in one place.

OUR TEAM

The people behind the practice

NOMAE is built around a small, deliberate team — a health advisor, a somatic lead, and the doctors who anchor the clinical work. Each one brings a different way of listening to the body.

Prof. Dr. med.Christian Breymann

FOUNDING MEMBER · NOMAE MEDICAL ADVISORY BOARD

Prof. Breymann is a Titular Professor at the University of Zürich in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Perinatal Medicine, and one of Europe’s most experienced specialists in female hormonal medicine, menopause care, and preventive women’s health. His clinical and research career spans more than three decades.

He has built internationally recognised expertise in iron metabolism and anaemia in women — an area routinely overlooked in conventional care, and one of the most common biological drivers of fatigue, brain fog, and exercise intolerance across every life stage. His work has shaped how iron is measured, interpreted, and treated in women’s medicine across Europe.

Based at GYN & PERINATAL ZÜRICH (Hirslanden), Prof. Breymann has spent his career at the intersection of clinical practice, academic research, and patient care — bridging research-grade rigour with the everyday reality of seeing women in his consulting room. As a founding member of the NOMAE Medical Advisory Board, he helps shape the clinical direction of NOMAE and the rigour of how we work.

Dr. Louise Hanschell

CLINICAL LEAD

Dr. Hanschell anchors NOMAE’s medical care in Copenhagen. She leads on prescribing — including hormone replacement therapy where it is clinically appropriate — and on the medical continuity of every member’s plan across the long arc.

She works alongside Prof. Breymann to translate the strategic clinical direction into the everyday practice of medicine here in Denmark. She is the doctor who stays with you, between visits and across years.

Kristine Bernhoft

HEALTH ADVISOR

Trained in Functional Medicine, Kristine has spent over a decade working with women in perimenopause and menopause — helping them navigate hormonal shifts, metabolic changes, and the subtle loss of feeling like themselves.

At NOMAE, Kristine is the person who holds the full picture: your history, your data, your plan, and the small adjustments between medical consultations. She is the reason data becomes a conversation, rather than a printout.

Her work is grounded in a root-cause, data-informed approach — combining clinical testing, nutrition, and lifestyle medicine. She is known for her ability to translate complex data into clear, practical steps that fit into real life.

Samantha Claire

SOMATIC & LIFESTYLE LEAD

For over twenty years, Samantha has dedicated her work to women's health, somatic bodywork, and the threshold where the body meets the psyche.

Originally from South Africa and a mother of two, she spent fourteen years as a doula in London, supporting women through labour and postnatal care. She has since worked across the full arc of female biology — from identity and embodiment in early adulthood, through motherhood, into perimenopause and beyond. Trained in Compassionate Inquiry, somatic therapy, and nervous system regulation, her work explores chronic stress, burnout, reproductive health, and the often-unnamed grief of women who have been taught to override their own signals and rhythms.

At NOMAE, Samantha leads the somatic, breath, and nervous system work that sits at the heart of how we think about the body — and hosts the monthly NOMAE Circles. Hormones do not move through a system that ignores the nervous system. Neither do we.

The wider network

NOMAE works with a curated network of specialists across nutrition, training, somatic and breath work, and lifestyle medicine — who become part of your plan when relevant. You do not need to find them yourself. We have chosen the best of the best we have ever worked with.

A clinic the team would choose for themselves.

Every person at NOMAE has been on the other side of women's healthcare. We know what fragmented care feels like, what dismissive care feels like, what years of not being taken seriously feels like. NOMAE exists because that experience deserved an answer — and that answer is now a clinic.
